Product Finishing

Product Finishing

The product finishing process involves several stages, starting with inspection and sorting to identify defects or inconsistencies. The rods are then broken into smaller chunks, trimmed to precise dimensions, and cleaned to remove contaminants introduced during the earlier stages of product handling.  Finally, the rods undergo quality assurance checks before being packaged for further processing or shipment. Effective product finishing maximizes yield, reduces waste, and limits contaminates added to the final product.

Harvesting

Harvesting

After the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, the reactor is cooled and purged before the rods are removed using specialized rod manipulators. These manipulators are designed to handle the heavy and fragile rods, lifting and extracting them from the reactor without causing damage. Once harvested, the rods undergo inspection for defects such as cracks and then stored in a controlled environments to maintain their quality until the next processing stage.

Breaking & Packaging

Breaking & Packaging

The harvested rod are carefully broken into smaller chunks to meet specific size requirements for different applications. This breaking process is done either manually with tungsten hammers, automatically with a jaw crusher, or through thermal fracturing. Afterward, the material is packaged in protective materials to prevent contamination during transportation and storage.

QA/QC

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

The QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) process is a critical step in ensuring the product meets the stringent purity standards required for semiconductor and solar applications. Advanced testing methods are used to confirm that the product meets the bulk and surface metal specifications.  The material undergoes size and weight checks to ensure uniformity, and any out-of-spec material is segregated for reprocessing or disposal.  Once the material passes all quality checks, it is documented and tracked to maintain traceability.
